The cookie monster is back.

Moonshine Mountain Cookies famous NIL deal is back for a third season. If Tennessee receiver Bru McCoy scores two-or-more touchdowns in any game this season, fans can get two free cookies at Moonshine Mountain the following Monday.

The Knoxville cookie company launched the NIL deal in 2021 partnering with Tennessee cornerback Alontae Taylor. If Taylor intercepted a pass, fans got two free cookies the following Monday. Taylor intercepted two passes in his senior season, providing an abundance of free cookies to Knoxville residents.

Tennessee receiver Cedric Tillman replaced Taylor in the role last season. Like McCoy, Tillman had to catch two touchdowns to provide fans free cookies. Due to injuries and Jalin Hyatt’s breakout season, Tillman didn’t total two touchdowns in a game all season.

McCoy transferred to Tennessee from Southern Cal a season ago and immediately entered the Vols’ starting lineup. The physical receiver caught 52 passes for 667 yards and four touchdowns a season ago and didn’t tally multiple touchdowns in any games.

But with Tillman and Hyatt off to the NFL, McCoy is poised to step into a bigger role this season and could be one of Joe Milton III’s go-to receivers.

Tennessee opens its 2023 football season on Sept. 2 where they’ll take on Virginia at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
