The 2023 college baseball season came to a close Monday night as LSU knocked off Florida to claim the National Championship.

Tennessee baseball didn’t win the ultimate prize but it was a strong year for the Vols nonetheless. Tony Vitello’s squad returned to the College World Series for the second time in three years and sixth time in program history.

It was a rocky season for Tennessee. The Vols started 5-10 in SEC play before finishing the regular season strong to finish 16-14 in conference play. But the strong second half of the season wasn’t enough to host a regional.

Tennessee went on the road and ended Clemson’s long winning streak to advance to the super regionals and overcame weather delays and a series deficit to win the Hattiesburg Super Regional and return to Omaha.

Let’s take a look at where Tennessee baseball stands in the final rankings for the 2023 season.
