The game will be played on July 8 at 7 p.m. ET in Seattle’s T-Mobile Park. The contest will be seven innings and will air exclusively on Peacock and Sirius XM.
The All-Star Futures contest is an annual baseball game played in the MLB’s All-Star week. Gilbert will be part of the AL roster.
Playing in the All-Star Futures game is a big honor for Gilbert, as he was one of only five outfielders to make the AL roster.

Gilbert, who was Houston’s first-round pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, is currently the Astros top prospect.
After impressing earlier this year in High-A, Gilbert was called up in May to play for the Astros’ AA affiliate in the Corpus Christi Hooks.
Gilbert’s production hasn’t been out of this world like it was in Asheville (1.107 OPS), but the Minnesota native has maintained a .202 batting average with 26 hits, 10 RBI and two home runs. Additionally, Gilbert has worked 27 walks with the Hooks and has a .346 on-base percentage. Gilbert has also scored 21 runs in 37 games while at Corpus Christi.
In MLB.com’s most recent re-ranking of the Top 100 prospects, Gilbert came in at No. 76, the only member of Houston’s organization to make the list.
