The 6-foot, 180 pound combo guards ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 33 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. Nowell also ranks as the nation’s fourth best combo guard and the second best player in the state of Pennsylvania.

Nowell has also taken June visits to Georgia Tech and UConn though he has yet to see Kentucky since they offered him in April.
Tennessee battling Kentucky for a Philadelphia standout is a bit of deja vu. The Wildcats beat out the Vols for five-star small forward Justin Edwards out of Philadelphia in the 2023 recruiting cycle. In fact, Nowell is attending the Imhotep Institute just like Edwards did.
Like with Edwards recruitment, Tennessee assistant Rod Clark has been crucial in making the Vols a serious player in Nowell’s recruitment.
Tennessee is still looking for its first commitment in the 2024 recruiting cycle after signing a strong class of 2023 last cycle.
