Another year under Josh Heupel. Another year of having an uber-talented WR corps for Tennessee football.
The Vols return Bru McCoy, Squirrel White and Ramel Keyton and added Dont’e Thornton to the WR room. After losing their top two receivers from last year’s juggernaut of an offense, Tennessee is back in good position to have one of the best receiving corps in the SEC.
But is it the best?
It is in the conversation, but on paper, Georgia and LSU have better units.
Georgia’s WR corps is highlighted by the transfers they brought in in the offseason in Dominic Lovett and Rara Thomas. The Bulldogs also have Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint and Ladd McConkey, giving them a strong four entering the season.
As for LSU, the Tigers return arguably the SEC’s best wide receiver in Malik Nabers. LSU also has many other guys in the room that will contribute, including Kyren Lacy who had a fantastic spring camp and spring game.
While Tennessee’s group may not be number one in the SEC, they have a strong case for being top three.
