Prediction
Tennessee faced the nation’s strikeout leader Saturday against LSU. They face the nation’s No. 2 strikeout man Quinn Matthews Monday afternoon. It’s a tall task for the Vols but they have plenty of horses ready to go on the mound too with Chase Dollander likely getting the start and Chase Burns fresh out of the bullpen.
Both teams have responded well to adversity this postseason but I like the Vols in Monday afternoon’s elimination game. Dollander and Burns is a fantastic duo to have ready on the bump and I liked the competitiveness of Tennessee’s at-bats against Skenes Saturday night.
The left-handed Matthews is a very tough pitcher to get to, but I think the Vols find enough offensive success.
