Tennessee Football has risen into the Top 15 of the major recruiting rankings on Saturday night after a commitment from four-star athlete Boo Carter.
Carter, a 5-foot-10, 180-pounder from the Chattanooga area, played his junior season at Chattanooga Christian Academy but will play his upcoming senior season at Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Carter’s speed and versatility make him a dangerous player on both the offensive side of the ball as a receiver and as a defensive back on the opposite side of the field. While it does look as though Carter is trending as potentially a defensive back at Tennessee, the in-state prospect brings a hefty load of athletic potential with him to Knoxville.
247 Sports’ composite rankings have Carter as a four-star athlete, the No. 17 athlete, and the second-ranked player from the state of Tennessee in the class of 2024.
Following Carter’s commitment on Saturday night, Tennessee’s 12 commitments land the Vols’ 2024 class at No. 9 on 247 Sports, No. 15 on Rivals, and No. 14 on On3 Sports.
