Tennessee baseball is set to take on Southern Miss on Sunday in game two of the Hattiesburg Super Regional.
First pitch is at 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. local time) in Pete Taylor Park. ESPN will have the broadcast.
The Vols are fighting for their season in game two after losing game one 5-3. Tennessee was losing 4-0 entering the first of two weather delays on Saturday. The second delay resulted in a suspension of the game until Sunday at 12 p.m. ET. The Vols outscored the Golden Eagles 3-1 in the remaining 4 innings and change on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough.
Seth Halvorsen shut down Southern Miss’ lineup, but left-handed relief pitcher Justin Storm for the Golden Eagles did the same to Tennessee, foiling the Vols’ comeback bid.
Game two of the Super Regional will see an elite pitching matchup between Chase Dollander and Tanner Hall. Although he didn’t start in game one, Hall is Southern Miss’ ace and has been their best pitcher all season long.
