Jordan Horston has been a busy person over the last month.

In early April, Horston was drafted ninth overall by the Seattle Storm in the 2023 WNBA Draft.

Afterward, she moved to Seattle to get acclimated to WNBA life before the season started just a couple of days ago.

Additionally, Horston has been in the home stretch in terms of school, working towards graduating from the University of Tennessee this May.

However, since Horston was in Seattle preparing for the start of her rookie season with the Storm, she did not get to attend graduation ceremony on campus Friday.

But the Storm helped Horston out with that, bringing a Tennessee graduation to her in their practice gym late last week.

The surprise graduation included Horston, who was wearing her cap and gown, walking the line to receive her diploma, moving her tassel from right to left in the process. Additionally, Storm head coach Noelle Quinn served as the mock dean in the ceremony, and Horston had many in the gym supporting and cheering on.

There was also a celebratory cake.

Following Horston’s impromptu graduation, she made her WNBA on Saturday. In 24 minutes played, Horston recorded eight points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals off the bench. Despite Horston’s encouraging effort in her first game as a pro, the Storm fell to LVFL Candace Parker’s Las Vegas Aces.
