Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello met with the media following the Vols’ 9-5 midweek win over Belmont in the regular season home finale.
Vitello talked about Hollis Fanning’s incredible three-inning outing, Blake Burke recording two hits, what the senior class meant to him and what he knows about Tennessee’s upcoming opponent in South Carolina.
“He was outstanding,” Vitello said on Fanning. “Basically made it impossible to take him out of the game. Part of it was the score dictated that… I was going to ask him how he was feeling, but with the radar gun and the way he was throwing it, it kind of made it look like he was fresh.”
