Tennessee baseball’s midweek battle against Belmont in Lindsey Nelson Stadium has been delayed due to lightning in the area.
The delay came at the end of the second inning. After two frames, the Vols lead 3-0.
The game will start back at 8 p.m. ET.

After having no weather delays all season in Knoxville, each of the last two games for Tennessee have had weather delays, as Sunday’s game against Kentucky had a two-hour weather delay.
Tennessee scored all three of their runs in the third inning. Due to a defensive mistake by Belmont’s outfield, Charlie Taylor got a two-run single to land to put the Vols ahead. Maui Ahuna later drove in a run with a two-out RBI double.
The Vols’ pitching staff have tallied five strikeouts in two innings. Zander Sechrist, who got the start, struck out the side in the first, and Bryce Jenkins, who was the first out of the bullpen, struck out a pair to end the second inning.
