The Vols and Bruins are facing off for the first time this season in each team’s midweek finale. The two Volunteer State teams faced off on the final Tuesday of the regular season last year as well when Tennessee annihilated Belmont 18-0 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tuesday is also Senior Night for Tennessee baseball as the Vols will honor six seniors at Lindsey Nelson Stadium: Logan Chambers, Ethan Payne, Kirby Connell, Zane Denton, Griffin Merritt and Seth Halvorsen.

Payne and Connell are the only two players who started their careers at Tennessee and both are possible candidates to return for their super senior seasons. Chambers (junior college), Denton (Alabama), Merritt (Cincinnati) and Halvorsen (Missouri) all transferred to Tennessee during their college careers.

Merritt is the only one without more eligibility but Halvorsen and Denton are both likely to try their luck at professional baseball after the season.

First pitch for the Senior Night matchup at Lindsey Nelson Stadium is now at 5 p.m. ET. You can stream the game on the SEC Network+.
