Despite Tennessee taking the first two games of the series on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, the Kentucky Wildcats had all of the answers against the Vols in the series finale on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats defeated Tennessee by a score of 10-0 as the Volunteers take the 2-1 series win at home.
Sunday staple Drew Beam was back on the mound for Tennessee to start the game but hit a few roadblocks against the Kentucky lineup in the first couple of innings. While a multi-hour rain delay did give Tennessee some time to regroup in the middle of the game, the Wildcats came back out strong and took it to Tennessee on Mother’s Day Sunday.
