Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello met with the media on Thursday afternoon to preview the Vols’ upcoming home series against No. 17 Kentucky.
Vitello discussed what he knows about the Wildcats, how important it is to finish the regular season home schedule strong, how Kavares Tears’ return shakes up the DH spot and more.
“It’s the game that’s in front of you,” Vitello said. “This team has its own theme. This season has written part of its story to this point… our guys will be out here shortly. It will be a lighter practice with finals and a Friday series-opener awaiting us, three long days, just what’s the thing in front of you? And we probably had the best coach in the country talk about, ‘Be where your feet are,’ in Pat Summitt. I would listen to her before I would listen to me if I was one of our players, so there you go.”
