With the 2023 NFL Draft in the rearview, multiple former Vols are arriving in their new homes looking to start off their NFL careers the right way.
But before mini camp starts and Tennessee’s drafted players and undrafted free agents get to work, Tennessee released a video with all five drafted players getting the call from the NFL organization that selected them.
The video shows Darnell Wright, Jalin Hyatt, Hendon Hooker, Cedric Tillman and Byron Young hearing the news while splicing in highlights from their high school and college careers. Tennessee’s video also includes the five players discussing their time in Knoxville and journey to the NFL.

Hooker and Young both spent two years at Tennessee after transferring in from other schools. Hooker was a massive part of Tennessee’s rapid rebuild and earned SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors. Young was Tennessee’s top pass rusher from his first day on campus.
Hyatt spent three years in Knoxville. After a quiet first two seasons, Hyatt burst on the scene with 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns on his way to winning the Biletnikoff Award.
Wright was at Tennessee for four seasons and started nearly every game over the course of his career while Tillman spent five seasons in Knoxville and totaled 1,000 receiving yards in 2021— the first Tennessee receiver to do so since 2012.
