Tennessee football wide receiver Cedric Tillman was selected 74th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Cleveland Browns.
Tillman’s selection came one pick after Jalin Hyatt went off the board to the New York Giants at 73rd overall.
When looking at Tillman’s landing spot, there’s a lot to like given the upside of Cleveland’s passing offense with former Pro Bowl QB Deshaun Watson under center.
However, there are some downsides for Tillman going to the Browns, as well. After all, Watson did not look like the Deshaun Watson of old when he returned from his suspension last year, and Cleveland has a relatively crowded WR room.
Tillman will likely enter training camp as WR4 on the Browns, but as long as he stays healthy, he has the talent to usurp at least one of the Browns’ top three wideouts to become an every week starter.
Rocky Top Insider takes a deeper look at Tillman’s fit and how soon he could succeed with the Browns in the latest High & Tight, presented by Gambuzza’s Barbershop.
