With the NFL Draft behind us and the Tennessee Titans’ six picks settling into their new football home, it’s time to check out the latest futures odds. Today we’re focusing on the Titans’ new QB and checking in on Will Levis’ Rookie of the Year odds.
If you bet on Will Levis in the NFL Draft, you’re probably hesitant to bet on him again. Levis was a favorite to be a first-round pick and then stayed firmly seated in the green room all night, waiting for the call that never came and launching an absolute meme storm online.
The Tennessee Titans were also considered likely by all of the top sports betting apps to select a QB for their first-round pick, but instead, they made a surprise move on Thursday, opting for the safe but perhaps unglamorous position of offensive tackle in Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski.
Levis and the Titans’ luck turned around on Day 2 when the Titans moved up to No. 33 to pick Levis with the second pick in the second round. The real question now is — was everyone wrong to pass on Levis in the first round? Or will he turn out to be like many other second-round QBs: i.e., not great in the NFL?
The odds, as always, tell a story, so we’re digging in to see what they tell us about Will Levis.

Why We Don’t Think He’ll Win
One problem with Levis’s chances? He likely won’t be called on to start this season. He’s expected to back up Ryan Tannehill with a chance to hone his skills while not having to lead the team.
Of course, that’s great for Levis’s overall career. It’s worked well for several QBs in the past, including Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Jared Goff. Of course, Paxton Lynch and Johnny Manziel are examples of when that didn’t work out for the drafting team.
But for his odds to win the Rookie of the Year award this season, not starting for your team isn’t a great — well, start.
But this is the NFL, and you never know. Tannehill hasn’t been doing much for Tennessee, and we’ve got a long time before the season officially kicks off. If you’re down on Tannehill’s ability to hold the starting position, this might be a great time to bet on Levis.
We’ll be keeping an eye on these odds as the season approaches.
