The NFL Draft is just a couple of days away. It is projected that as many as five quarterbacks could potentially be drafted in the first round, including the Tennessee Volunteers’ Hendon Hooker.
Where he will land is still a tossup, especially with so much uncertainty around who the Houston Texans will take with the No. 2 pick. However, there are at least six teams in dire need of a quarterback, which bodes well for Hendon Hooker’s NFL Draft Odds to be taken in the first round.
The first round of the NFL Draft will be held on Thursday, April 27, with the second and third rounds following on April 28, and the final four rounds on April 29. All of the country’s best online sportsbooks have endless betting markets for the NFL Draft.
With the draft now so close, let’s take a look at the potential landing spots for Hooker in this year’s NFL Draft.

A Closer Look at Three Potential Landing Spots
Tennessee Titans (+600 on FanDuel)
With news circulating that the Titans may potentially shop RB Derrick Henry, it appears they are headed for a rebuild. The most important part of the rebuild for them is, without a doubt, going to be QB, especially since Ryan Tannehill’s inabilities are what seemed to keep them from ultimately winning a championship. By the time they are on the clock, the decisions of the teams ahead of them will leave them to choose between Anthony Richardson and Hooker, or just Hooker.
If it’s just Hooker, the Titans may still take a chance on him instead of addressing another need, although their draft position may make him a risky option. This depends on what the Texans do. If they select C.J. Stroud, the rest of the QBs should be off the board. However, Hooker’s mobility helps him fit into the Titans’ offense seamlessly. It could end up being the steal of the draft if it pans out for them.
Las Vegas Raiders (FanDuel +600)
The Raiders picked up Jimmy Garoppolo, who suffered yet another injury that sidelined him for the San Francisco 49ers last year. Brock Purdy emerged as a potential young star in his absence, which made Garoppolo expendable. Now that he is a Raider, the odds of them drafting a QB with the seventh pick aren’t highly likely. However, due to his injury history, they aren’t likely to bet the future on him either.
With the future of QB still in doubt, if Hooker is available late in the first round, the Raiders could trade up a few spaces to secure the young QB to avoid another team taking him early in the second round. The value is definitely there and what it would take to get him wouldn’t be grand due to where they fall on the board in round two.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (FanDuel +1200)
Hooker is the fifth-best QB available on most draft boards. If that belief sticks, the top four QBs should be gone by the time the Bucs are on the clock. This is arguably Hooker’s best chance to go in the first round without a trade. Tom Brady has officially called it quits (for now), and although Baker Mayfield is on the roster, the odds of the team building around him in the future are slim.
Hooker doesn’t have top-10 draft stock, which is most likely due to questions surrounding the ACL injury he suffered late last season. However, players have rebounded from that injury better to be better as of late, and his potential upside makes sense at pick 19. The decision is going to come down to whether they believe the wait for next year’s QB draft class is a better decision given their odds outlook for the team in the coming season.
Could Hooker Jump the Draft Board?
Although Hooker is listed as the fifth-best QB on most draft boards, that doesn’t mean all teams see him that way. There are major questions surrounding Richardson and Kentucky QB Will Levis. Richardson has very few games under his belt and may be perceived as a major risk. Additionally, Levis’ upside has the most questions given his late rise to the national spotlight.
Hooker’s health is the biggest concern keeping him from top-three consideration. If his team alleviates worry about his knee ahead of draft night, he could jump Richardson and Levis. If you think there is a chance, DraftKings Sportsbook has odds available.
Currently, he has odds of +900 at DraftKings to be the third QB taken. If you like the odds, head over now to place your wager before the odds change, as they are likely to do given the fluidity and ever-changing nature of draft boards.
