Tennessee baseball seemed to find their mojo once again after sweeping No. 3 Vanderbilt across the weekend. Tennessee turned a four-game losing streak into a walk-off win in extra innings on Friday night, a run-rule win on Saturday, and a late-game dramatic win on Sunday afternoon to close things out.
The Vols jumped out to a big lead on Sunday afternoon by scoring five runs in the bottom of the second inning. That eventually paved the way for a four-run ninth inning to bring the Vols’ total up to nine runs. Vanderbilt did score five runs to fight back late in the game but it was too little and too late against the Volunteers on Sunday.
Tennessee center fielder Hunter Ensley went yard twice on the day to finish the weekend strong.
