In front of nearly 60,000 excited fans on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville, the Tennessee Volunteers completed their spring camp slate with the 2023 Orange & White game.
The Orange team defeated the White team by a score of 17-14 thanks to a go-ahead 39-yard field goal from J.T. Carver late in the second half.
Starting quarterback Joe Milton finished the game 9-of-13 passing with 79 yards and one touchdown. Former five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava, in his first action in front of home fans in Neyland Stadium, ended his debut spring game 8-of-16 for 112 yards.
Freshman running back Cam Seldon was one of the more impressive players on the field, finishing the game with 10 carries for 45 yards and a rushing touchdown to go along with three receptions for 43 yards. Fellow freshman DeSean Bishop was a workhorse on Saturday with 90 yards on 24 carries.
After the conclusion of the game, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media to break down his thoughts on the Vols’ game.
