Tennessee baseball dropped two of three games against No. 3 Florida on a rainy weekend in Knoxville. The Gators won both game one and two in lopsided fashion over the Vols before Tennessee run-ruled Florida in game three Saturday.

Starting pitchers Chase Dollander and Chase Burns struggled again before Drew Beam turned in a strong game three outing and Griffin Merritt broke out of his slump.

The Vols are halfway through their four-week gauntlet that sees them play four of the best teams in the SEC. Tennessee’s won two of six games the first two weekends and now heads back on the road to face Arkansas this weekend.

After winning one of three games against Florida, Tony Vitello’s team dropped in the rankings.
