The Tennessee Volunteers and head coach Josh Heupel landed a class of 2024 offensive lineman on Saturday night, marking two commitments from the trenches in back-to-back days.
Offensive lineman Gage Ginther announced his commitment to the Volunteers on Saturday night with a post on social media.
Ginther’s commitment builds Tennessee’s 2024 class to a total of eight commits before spring football is even finished. Ginther, from Fort Collins, Colorado, is the Vols’ second commit on the offensive line.

Ginther, playing his high school ball for Fossil Ridge High School, stands at 6-foot-6 inches and weighs in at 287 pounds.
Gage Ginther possesses a three-star ranking according to On3, Rivals, and 247 Sports. Additionally, On3’s composite rankings have Ginther as the No. 52 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 2 ranked player from the state of Colorado. At the time of his commitment, Ginther also had notable offers from Deion Sanders and Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, and Southern California.
The Colorado native marks Tennessee’s third commitment in less than two days. The Vols received a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Jesse Perry (Murfreesboro, TN) on Friday afternoon as Tennessee found their first offensive lineman in the class. Just a few hours later, Tennessee received their first commitment to the class of 2025 with talented cornerback Shamar Arnoux.
Tennessee is building a strong offensive line in the present and the future under the watchful eye of offensive line coach Glen Elarbee. The Vols’ current offensive line room has a nice mix of both veteran and newer talent as each player continues to build their teammates up.
“It is great, just because you are not having to coach every little thing,” Elarbee said about having veteran leadership work with the younger players last week. “They are your eyes on the field. They are your eyes in the meeting room. Like I said, I try to have as little ego as possible. Man, when we are in the meeting room Cooper (Mays) is coaching, Dayne (Davis) is coaching, Ollie (Lane) is coaching.”
