Tennessee Baseball Odds vs. Florida for Saturday, April 8

Tennessee is the favorite for Game 3 of the three-game series on Saturday, April 8. Here are the odds from four of the best online sports betting apps.

While the first three sportsbooks only offer moneyline odds for Game 3, Caesars also offers a total, which it sets at 12.5 runs. If you want to bet on the Under you’ll have to lay a little extra juice at -130. If you want to take the Over on 12.5, however, you can get even money odds at +100.

The Vols (21-10, 4-7 SEC) were hoping to carry over some momentum from their Game 3 win over LSU last week into this series vs. Florida, but the Gators took a 6-1 victory on Thursday and a 9-3 victory on Friday. Florida was the underdog in the first two games.

In Game 1 on Thursday, Florida (27-5, 9-2 SEC) had a 2-1 lead after four innings and then broke open the game in the top of the fifth with back-to-back home runs, including a three-run shot from Josh Rivera. In Game 2, Florida scored five runs in the first two innings and four more in the fourth and fifth on its way to a comfortable margin.

Tennessee vs. Florida Baseball Preview

Heading into Tennessee’s series against LSU, most online sportsbooks with college baseball odds had the Vols with the second-shortest odds to win the 2023 College World Series. Since then, however, they have slid on DraftKings and FanDuel while holding steady on Caesars Sportsbook. Wake Forest has jumped ahead of Tennessee on DraftKings, while the Demon Deacons and Florida Gators have shorter College World Series odds on FanDuel.

Tennessee can make up some ground in the SEC East with a strong performance in this series against Florida, as the Vols are fifth in the division at 4-5. Conversely, the Gators are 7-2 in conference play.

Working in Tennessee’s favor is its strong record at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols are 19-1 at home but just 1-6 on the road.

Tennessee will need its second-ranked team ERA to show up against the hot bats of Florida if it wants a better result than its series against LSU. The Gators are second in runs scored and have the fourth-highest team batting average. Florida’s Jac Caglianone leads the NCAA in home runs, is tied for the fifth-most RBIs, and is eighth in hits.
