Tennessee baseball went on the road and won one of three games against LSU over the weekend. The Vols dropped a pair of tight games to open the series before their offense exploded in the game three win.

Simple mistakes proved costly in the first two games of the series. A pair of defensive miscues paved the way for a three-run eighth inning that gave LSU the lead. On Friday night, defensive and base running mistakes cost the Vols early and opened the door for a 6-4 LSU victory.

Tennessee’s offense set the tone early in the series finale, scoring 10 runs in the first two innings before earning a 14-7 victory.

Life doesn’t get any easier for Tennessee this week as they return to Lindsey Nelson Stadium to face No. 3 Florida.

After winning one of three games against the nation’s No. 1 team, Tennessee fluctuated very little in the rankings this week.
