Tennessee opened up its third week of spring camp with a practice in Knoxville on Monday morning.
Following the conclusion of practice, two of Tennessee’s veteran offensive linemen, Javontez Spraggins and Ollie Lane, met with the local media to discuss spring camp. Both players talked about rebuilding the offensive line after the departure of Darnell Wright and Jerome Carvin, while also touching on how the experience and depth of the group will be very beneficial in the long run.
Spraggins and Lane are the second and third offensive linemen to meet with the media so far during the spring. Sophomore center Addison Nichols met with the media last Tuesday to discuss his positioning on the offensive line, having a year under his belt with the program, and much more.
In addition to Nichols, Vols offensive line coach Glen Elarbee also met with the media in Knoxville last Tuesday. Elarbee spoke about the challenges of replacing Wright and Carvin and also his first impressions of his group through the first couple of weeks.
