Monday morning was the first Tennessee football practice availability on the road to the 2023 college football season.
Coming off of such a monstrous year in 2022, expectations continue to rise for Tennessee despite losing key players such as quarterback Hendon Hooker, wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, and edge rusher Byron Young.
Still, though, Tennessee returns Joe Milton as the starting quarterback, Joey Halzle moves to the offensive coordinator position in replacement of now-USF head coach Alex Golesh, and Josh Heupel still commands the team as the man in charge.
There are going to be plenty of storylines to follow this spring, including the new players to the Tennessee program. Former Oregon transfer wide receiver Dont’e Thornton is one of those players. So is Nico Iamaleava, a freshman quarterback and the No. 1 overall recruiting prospect from the 2022 class last year.
