Tennessee Baseball (15-5) will take on the Missouri Tigers (15-3) on Sunday in Columbia, Missouri, for game three of the three-game series and game two of a Sunday doubleheader.

Weather caused Saturday’s game between the Vols and Tigers to get postponed, so now Tennessee is playing a doubleheader for the second consecutive weekend.

The Vols got blown out in game one of the series on Friday afternoon, losing 9-1. A recap of the loss along with what Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello had to say is here.
Game two was similar, as Missouri continued to find success against Tennessee’s pitching. The Tigers got out to a quick 3-0 run and coasted from there. Zane Denton hit a two-run home run in the seventh to try and ignite a rally, but the Vols ultimately fell short.
Additionally, Tony Vitello was ejected in the bottom of the third inning after arguing with the home plate umpire over a balk call that scored Missouri’s fifth run of the game.
Tennessee’s series loss to the Tigers serves as their first of the season, and the Vols will look to avoid getting swept in the third game.
