Tennessee had seven participants in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine this past weekend.
The Vols participants included receivers Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman, edge rusher Byron Young, linebacker Jeremy Banks, offensive lineman Darnell Wright, and punter Paxton Brooks.
Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker was also part of the 2023 NFL Combine but did not go through any on-field drills as he continues to rehab from the ACL surgery in November. Hooker did go through his media appearances on his own two feet and without a crutch, though.
Here’s a look at the statistical data from the Tennessee competitors at the 2023 NFL Combine. Be sure to also check out RTI’s other combine coverage below.

Note* – How Production Score, Athleticsm Score, and Total Score are calculated via NFL.com:
- “The Next Gen Stats Draft Model analyzes historical NFL Combine, pro day, and college production data to predict a prospect’s chances of success in the NFL. The results of the model are transformed into composite scores, ranging from 50 to 99, which represent the athleticism, college performance, and overall profile of an NFL prospect. Ranking shown represents a prospect’s score relative to all other players in their draft class at their respective positions.
- Note: Prospects who do not perform drills at the combine or pro day are given an estimated athleticism score based on their size and projected 40 time.”
