Jones ranks as the nation’s No. 194 player and No. 23 athlete in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Swainsboro native ranks as the 28th best player in the Peach Street.
The 6-foot-1, 176-pound athlete could play on either side of the ball in college but seems more likely to play receiver at the college level.
More From RTI: Where Tennessee Football’s Recruiting Class Ranks Following Weekend Commitment
Jones has yet to visit Tennessee during his recruitment after taking visits to UCF, South Carolina and Georgia this fall. The four-star recruit made a return visit to Columbia and his first visit to Alabama this January. Jones has official visits to both Alabama and Georgia scheduled for this June.
If Tennessee is going to become a serious players in Jones’ recruitment, they need to get the four-star recruit on campus this summer.
Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class contains four commits currently including two defensive backs— Marcus Goree Jr. and Kaleb Beasley— but no receiver commits. Three of the Vols’ first four commits are from inside the Volunteer State.
