Unlike most promotional offers from other online sportsbooks, this offer from FanDuel Sportsbook does not require a deposit. The bonus wagers will be accredited to your account 72 hours after sports betting launches. The potential launch date floating around is March 10, which means you could have your $100 bonus in time for the first round of March Madness on March 14.
To claim the bonus, all you have to do is sign up by using our exclusive FanDuel Massachusetts promo code link and registering for a new account.
New users also likely will be eligible for an additional bonus following the official launch. In other states, FanDuel has also given new users a $1,000 No Sweat First Bet, which means if your first bet loses, you get those funds back in the form of betting credit up to $1,000.
Massachusetts Sports Betting Success
Retail sports betting went live in the Bay State on Jan. 31. On launch day, residents wagered more than a half-million dollars and the three casino sportsbooks brought in a combined total of more than $360,000 in revenue.
Another big point of reference for the success of sports betting in Massachusetts will be the state’s Super Bowl numbers. With only in-person wagering available at the time, residents were projected to wager more than $7 million on the big game. Projections also had state residents wagering close to $50 million had online sports betting been allowed. However, the official numbers will be made available in the coming weeks.
Given the vast difference in the projections had online sports betting been allowed for the Super Bowl, the timing of the launch for Massachusetts online sports betting couldn’t be better. The sportsbooks will benefit significantly from residents being able to wager on March Madness. The Super Bowl is the third-highest-grossing sports wagering event in the world, and March Madness is fifth. The multi-weeklong tournament usually brings in billions in wagers, including $12 billion in 2019.

Online Sports Betting in Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) proposed March 10 as the go-live date for online sports betting. However, it is dependent on the sportsbooks’ promptness in responding to the MGC’s internal control submission requests.
“It’s really dependent on the quality of the internal control submissions the applicants have submitted,” MGC Executive Director Karen Wells said at a recent MGC meeting. “If they have done a fantastic job and are good to go, we can get this done more quickly. But if they can’t respond or do not respond to modifications to internal control submissions, that impacts the timeline. We do have the option of launching some but not all of the operators.”
Currently, 11 sportsbooks have been approved for licenses in the state. Two of the 11 (Fanatics and Betway) have already announced they will not be ready for the March 10 launch date. As of now, the remaining nine, including FanDuel, seem to be on track.
