Sale is coming back, and the team added Corey Kluber, who had 15 quality starts last season and stepped on the rubber 31 times. The team’s Fielding Independent Pitching (FIP) was 8% better than its ERA, which was the fourth-best margin in the league. That means luck should even out in 2023. Plus, the defense should improve from its standing as 14th out of 15 AL teams.
