Coming out of the Reese’s Senior Bowl last week in Mobile, Alabama, VFL and former Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker is now moving back and forth between California and Arizona while preparing for the NFL Draft in April.
While making the rounds at the Super Bowl’s Radio Row event in Arizona on Wednesday, Hooker stopped by the Pat McAfee Show for a quick conversation about his future moving forward. McAfee had the opportunity to see Hendon Hooker twice last year as part of the College GameDay unit, which came to Knoxville for the Florida and Alabama games.
“I got a chance to meet that man at one of the [College] GameDay stops because our show followed his team around this past season because of how g-d great they were,” McAfee said as he welcomed Hooker onto the show. “How great were they? Well, this quarterback threw touchdowns all over the place. This quarterback reinvigorated an entire university – an entire state! This man is draft eligible and no one is talking about him.”

Hendon Hooker Talks Falling Down Draft Boards After Injury
“It hasn’t really been talked about but I can understand why,” Hendon Hooker said about potentially sliding down draft boards due to his injury. “Just the availability factor, for sure. But just my ability and my football IQ and the leadership aspects that I bring will still elevate the team and also boost my draft stock as well.”

Hendon Hooker Talks Football Return and Rehab
“I’ll be back 100 percent and better than I’ve ever been here this summer, June, July, getting ready for camp,” Hooker said with confidence.
