Tennessee football made the top 10 for talented four-star offensive tackle JacQawn McRoy Saturday afternoon.
The Vols joined Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Ole Miss and Oregon in the four-star’s top group.
McRoy is a quickly rising prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle ranking as the No. 339 player and No. 25 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. 247sports own rankings are even higher on McRoy, ranking him as the No. 134 player and No. 5 offensive tackle in the country.
McRoy’s 6-foot-8, 365-pound frame makes him raw as an offensive tackle prospect but also gives him an extremely high ceiling.

Auburn has come hard after the Pinson, Alabama native since hiring Hugh Freeze as its head coach. McRoy made the 125 mile trip from north Birmingham to Auburn last week for his first visit on the Plains since Freeze became coach.
McRoy visited Tennessee once this fall, taking in the Vols win over Alabama and snagging a picture with Peyton Manning in the process.
The massive offensive tackle visited Arkansas twice in 2022 including once during the season. McRoy also visited Kentucky this fall but has not visited any of the other schools in his top group.
Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains three commits, headlined by high four-star Jonathan Echols, and ranks No. 17 nationally according to 247sports team rankings.
