Tennessee football made the top five for class of 2024 safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr. Sunday afternoon, the four-star shared on his Twitter.

The Vols joined Central Florida, Florida, Florida State and South Carolina in the Sunshine State native’s top five.

Boatwright is a low four-star recruit that ranks as the No. 341 player and No. 28 safety in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings.

The Clearwater, Florida native’s top five matches the visits he has taken to this point in his recruitment. Boatwright has taken one visit to Knoxville, camping at Tennessee last June. The Vols didn’t get Boatwright back on campus this fall and are looking to get the Florida native back to Knoxville this winter to become a top contender in his recruitment.

Florida and Florida State have gotten Boatwright on campus more than any other schools, hosting the instate product for both a summer and fall visit during the 2022 season.

Boatwright visited both South Carolina and UCF in the summer but, like Tennessee, he did not make a return trip during the season.

Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class currently contains three commits including four-star corner Kaleb Beasley. Adding the safety Boatwright to the defensive back haul with Beasley would be an early coup for defensive back coach Willie Martinez.

The Vols three player recruiting class currently ranks 12th nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
