After an upset loss to Kentucky, the Vols rebounded with a 70-59 road win over Mississippi State despite an abysmal first half offensive performance.
Zakai Zeigler was brilliant in the second half, posting 16 of his 24 points after the break. Freshman Julian Phillips came through as well for Tennessee, totaling 18 points and 11 rebounds in his second career double-double.
The Vols stay on the road this weekend when they head down to face the LSU tigers (12-6, 1-5 SEC) in Baton Rouge. Tip-off is at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.
