Hendon Hooker became a household name in the world of college football this past season. With his dynamic play on the field leading Tennessee to big-time wins on national television, Hooker certainly made his name known far and wide.
But while people are already very familiar with his skills on the football field, Hooker also had plenty of talent on the basketball court.
On Monday afternoon, WFMY’s Brian Hall tweeted out a highlight clip of Hendon Hooker’s basketball days playing for Dudley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina.
“Sheeshhh talk about a throwback 😂,” Hooker, who wore No. 1 on the court, tweeted out with the video. “Don’t judge my bounce off that oop I was fresh off the football field.”
One Twitter user responded to Hooker poking fun at the gigantic shorts he was wearing.
“They ordered them too big 😒,” Hooker responded. “I had on the smallest pair we had and they were an XL LT”

The video shows Hooker splashing a bucket from the corner, going up for alley-oop attempts, driving to the hoop, and more.
During his final season of college football, Hooker threw for 3,135 yards and 27 touchdowns with just two interceptions for Josh Heupel’s Tennessee Volunteers. Hooker suffered a torn ACL in the penultimate week of the regular season and did not play in the Vols’ final two games as he rehabs and prepares for the NFL Draft later in the spring.
