Tennessee hosted Jalyn Crawford, one of the top cornerbacks in the 2024 recruiting class, for an unofficial visit this weekend.

Crawford was feeling the Tennessee love when he went to the Born to Compete All-American Practices on Sunday, rocking Volunteer gloves at the event.

The Lilburn, Georgia native is a four-star recruit and the No. 121 player and No. 5 cornerback in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. 247sports own rankings are even higher on Crawford, ranking him as the No. 34 player in the country.

Tennessee has long pursued Crawford, hosting the Parkview High School standout for a visit in June and in October for the Alabama game before coming to Knoxville for his first visit of 2023.

Georgia and LSU appear to be Tennessee’s top competition for the talented cornerback. Crawford took four visits to Athens during 2022 including two during the season and took three visits to Baton Rouge though none were during the regular season.

Crawford also visited Clemson once in 2022 and plans on visiting the Tigers the final weekend in January according to On3.

Tennessee is still in the early stages of putting together its 2024 recruiting class and its impressive visitor list for the mid January junior day is a strong start.

The Vols have three players committed — including four-star corner Kaleb Beasley — that makes up the nation’s No. 12 recruiting class according to the 247sports team rankings.
