Betting Preview for College Football National Championship: Georiga vs. TCU
It should come as no surprise to anyone that Georgia is the heavy favorite for Monday night’s championship game. It will be an uphill battle for TCU, which hasn’t won a championship since 1938. But the Horned Frogs have been surprising football fans all year.
Here are the odds for the College Football National Championship from DraftKings.
- Point Spread: Georgia -12.5
- Moneylines: Georgia -435/TCU +350
- Total (O/U): 62.5 points
Georgia is aiming to follow in Alabama’s footsteps to win back-to-back national titles. Alabama did it in the 2011-2012 season. Before that, Nebraska did it in 1994-1995, and USC did it in 2003-2004.
TCU is looking for its own sliver of history. Not only is it aiming to get its first national title in 83 years, but it could also become the first team in 33 years to go from unranked in the preseason to win the championship. Georgia Tech did it in 1990.
Will it be the biggest Cinderella Story of the last three decades, or another year, another favorite claiming the title? Either way, we’re hoping for a good game and some betting upsets.
The game will kick off on Monday, Jan. 9, at 7:30 p.m. ET in SoFi Stadium. Fans can watch on ESPN.
