The 6-foot, 210-pound running back originally committed to Tennessee on Dec. 15, 2021, which was the start of the early signing period last year. Williams-Thomas, a native of Dallas, Georgia, and East Paulding High School, tallied 37 yards on 11 rushing attempts during his freshman season in Knoxville.
Justin Williams-Thomas had six yards on three carries in the season-opener against Ball State, 22 yards on five carries against Akron, and nine yards on three attempts against UT Martin.
With Jabari Small and Jaylen Wright taking a majority of the carries during the 2022 season, it was fellow freshman running back Dylan Sampson that was selected as Tennessee’s main third back in the offense, thus cutting back the production of Williams-Thomas this season.
Williams-Thomas will have four years of eligibility remaining as the speedy and well-sized running back finds his footing with his new home. The Georgia native is also very intelligent, leading to his path to the west coast with Stanford.
Justin Williams-Thomas was a four-star recruit in the class of 2022 according to 247Sports. Williams-Thomas chose Tennessee over 30 other schools on signing day.

I think players opting out of the bowl game shows a deep disrespect for the Vols.
