WATCH: Cam Sutton Snags Game Sealing Interception On Christmas Eve

Former Tennessee cornerback Cameron Sutton got his Christmas off to a good start. The Pittsburgh cornerback snagged a game sealing interception in the Steelers’, 13-10, win over the Las Vegas Raiders Christmas Eve.

Sutton capitalized on a Derek Carr overthrow down the seem to Hunter Renfrow, snagging the interception and improving the Steelers’ record to 7-8.

The Steelers’ starting corner had a strong game prior to the interception, recording three tackles and two pass break ups.

Sutton is having the best season of his career totaling highs in interceptions (three), pass break ups (14) and his tackles career-high is in striking distance with two games to play.

The Georgia native was a four-year standout at Tennessee from 2013-16. Sutton totaled seven interceptions, 30 pass deflections, 127 tackles and three forced fumbles in his college career.

The Steelers selected Sutton in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft and the former Vols’ star has slowly built a larger-and-larger role in his five seasons in the NFL.

Sutton has been reliable in his NFL career as well, playing in at least 15 games in his first four seasons and has played in 14 of the Steelers’ first 15 games this season.
