A pair of Tennessee Basketball legends went toe-to-toe on the court twice this weekend in Boston.
Admiral Schofield and the Orlando Magic took on Grant Williams and the Celtics in Boston on both Friday and Sunday night.
In the Friday night game, Williams found seven points off the bench in 19 minutes while Schofield went for three points in 11 minutes during the road victory. Schofield also had an impressive +9 plus/minus in that first game, though.
Schofield’s Magic then found another close win over the Celtics on Sunday as the pair known to Vol fans as “Peanut Butter & Jelly” were back on the court together once again.
“So, Grant is Peanut Butter, and I’m Jelly,” Schofield said during a 2019 ESPN clip. “We came up with that just messing around one day. We were playing FIFA.”
“I’m peanut butter and he is jelly because I kind of bring that little casual, you know, nice taste. And he brings the, like, knock-you-out-type of taste,” Williams said in the video.
Williams ended Sunday night with 14 points, six boards, and three assists as one of the Celtics’ starting five.
Schofield, on the other hand, finished the weekend game with 13 points and four rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench.

The Magic won by a score of 117-109 on Friday and by a score of 95-92 on Sunday night.
Admiral Schofield has been on the rise this December. The former Volunteer has improved his monthly average in minutes (11.7 in November to 14.4 in December) and points (3.3 PPG to 6.4 PPG). Schofield’s 13-point performance against Boston is also tied for his season-high in single-game scoring.
Grant Williams, on the other hand, is averaging 29.4 minutes per game in back-to-back months as he continues to be a key member of Boston’s roster. Williams also upped his monthly scoring average from 8.5 in November to 10.8 PPG in December.
The Celtics and Magic will square off one more time during the regular season, when Boston travels to Orlando on Jan. 23 for the fourth game of the series. Boston won the first matchup by a score of 126-120 on Oct. 22.
