Tennessee wing Josiah-Jordan James is out for the Vols’ Saturday night top 10 tilt at Arizona.

James has been in-and-out of the lineup for Tennessee this season while dealing with a knee injury that limited him in the preseason following an offseason scope.

The senior wing played Tennessee’s first three games of the season before missing the next four, including the Battle 4 Atlantis. James returned to the lineup for two games against Alcorn State and Eastern Kentucky but missed Tennessee’s win over Maryland in Brooklyn.

Following the Eastern Kentucky game James said the injury would be a “game-to-game thing” the rest of the season.

James hasn’t been the only key Vol to miss playing time this season. Star senior shooting guard Santiago Vescovi missed two games with a left shoulder strain and power forward Jonas Aidoo missed Tennessee’s win over Maryland due to sickness. Both players are expected to play against the Wildcats.

In five games this season, James is averaging 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Tennessee is the No. 6 team in the country and takes an eight game winning streak into its first true road game against the ninth-ranked Wildcats.
