The college football transfer portal will officially open up on Monday, Dec. 5, paving the way for a massive shake-up to team rosters around the country.
Since the end of the regular season last Saturday, players have already been announcing their intent to enter the portal with the hope of finding greener pastures on the other side.
While a small handful of Tennessee players have gone ahead and made the announcements themselves, there is still plenty of expectation that more players will be on the way, especially as that Dec. 5 date draws closer.
According to On3 Sports’ Matt Zenitz on Wednesday, freshman running back Justin Williams-Thomas and redshirt-sophomore running back Len’Neth Whitehead are both expected to make their announcements sometime soon and enter the portal when it opens.

I love the new look. I was hoping y’all would clean the site up some and make things more accessible. Great job. Like one of Tony V’s baseball players you hit it out of the park and put the daddy cap and mink on. #GoVols!
Tony, thanks for noticing. We have Michael Wender to thank. He’s the man behind the curtain on all things RTI. In fact, we consider him part of the team. Not to flex, but when it comes to volume, we’re on a short list, and it wouldn’t be possible without Michael. He’s been with us almost from day one. If you have any tech needs, he comes with our highest recommendations.
