Tennessee ended the regular season with a bang on Saturday night, shutting out the Vanderbilt Commodores by a score of 56-0 in Nashville.

The Vols played a relentless game as they jumped out to the 14-0 lead after the first quarter and didn’t let up on the gas from there. Tennessee’s defense was able to play aggressively and took the pass away from Mike Wright and the Vanderbilt offense for most of the night.

After the game, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with the media to discuss his immediate reactions to the outcome. Heupel spoke about the resiliency that went into the win after the South Carolina loss last weekend and how the week was set up leading in.

Heupel spoke about the game as a whole including some of the several injuries that Tennessee had leading into and during the game. He also spoke about quarterback Joe Milton III and what he thought of Milton’s first game as the starter this season.
