Tennessee Football has officially achieved a 10-2 regular season record after shutting out Vanderbilt, 56-0, on Saturday night in Nashville.
The Vols’ defense was able to bounce back like a basketball after allowing a massive 63-point game against South Carolina last weekend. Tennessee’s defense locked in and held a surging Vanderbilt team, coming off back-to-back wins against Kentucky and Florida, scoreless in their final game of the season.
Tennessee also introduced a new starting quarterback for the first time this season after Hendon Hooker’s ACL injury suffered last week. While Tennessee didn’t need him to win them the game, Joe Milton III was solid in getting Tennessee where they needed to be, even if there is an area to improve with his accuracy.
RTI hosts Ryan Schumpert and Ric Butler break the whole game down on Saturday night from the Vanderbilt press box on the latest episode of the RTI Press Pass. Ryan and Ric discuss their thoughts on the game, the bowl season ahead, and much more.
