One of the bets is for a fixed-odds wager worth a maximum of $500. These are the types of wagers you’re used to seeing across every online sportsbook. The second bet is for PointsBet’s unique wagering style called PointsBetting, which is worth up to $1,500. We’ll go over PointsBetting in more detail below.
If either of your first two bets results in a loss, PointsBet will match your wager as bonus bets with the maximum values noted above.
What is PointsBetting?
PointsBetting is a type of wager that is exclusive to the PointsBet platform. When you place a wager using the PointsBetting method, your wager amount is multiplied by the margin of victory. Essentially, the more you’re right, the more you win. This also works in reverse, however, meaning your losses are magnified as well.
Let’s use a game with a total of 45 points as an example. Let’s say you placed a $10 PointsBetting wager on the over. If 47 total points are scored, you would win $20, as your $10 bet would be multiplied by the two-point margin. If 39 points were scored, your $10 wager would now cost you $60 ($10 x 6).
You can place PointsBetting wagers on other markets, such as the point spread, each team’s points scored, and the time of the first touchdown.
PointsBetting is truly unique among the top online sportsbooks, but can be extremely volatile and therefore is only recommended for experienced sports bettors.

The Baltimore Ravens will look to rack up their eighth win to stay atop the AFC North as they travel to Jacksonville to take on the 3-7 Jaguars.
Neither team has performed particularly well against the spread, as Baltimore has a 4-5-1 record and Jacksonville has the second-worst cover rate at just 30% (3-7). Interestingly, all four of the games the Ravens have covered have come on the road. Their 4-1 record against the spread in away games is tied for the third-best rate in the league, behind only the Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans, and tied with the New York Jets.
Baltimore also has the third-highest average margin of victory in road games at 8.2, trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs (10.8) and Dallas Cowboys (8.8).
