No. 22 Tennessee and No. 3 Kansas will square off in a Top 25 clash in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament finals tonight in The Bahamas.
Despite being in different conferences, the Volunteers and Jayhawks have been familiar foes over the last couple of seasons. Tennessee and Kansas have squared off three times since 2018, with the Jayhawks taking the first two victories.
Tennessee will look for its second straight win over Kansas on Friday night.
The Volunteers made it to the finals by handling Butler on Wednesday night leading to a thrilling overtime win over Southern California on Thanksgiving. Tennessee has not had Josiah-Jordan James for the last two games as he continues to deal with a knee injury. The Vols have seen freshman Julian Phillips start to breakout, though, as he found his career high in points (25) and rebounds (8) on Thanksgiving.
The Jayhawks, on the other hand, defeated NC State by six points on Wednesday night before defeating Wisconsin on a buzzer-beating shot in overtime on Thursday.
While both teams certainly had some big time Thanksgiving games on Thursday, each is hoping that the leftovers are even more tasty on Friday.
