Thanksgiving Day NFL Football Betting Preview
Let’s take a brief look at all three games that will be played on Turkey Day.
Buffalo Bills at Detroit Lions — 12:30 p.m. ET, TV: CBS
Point Spread: Bills -9
Moneyline: Bills -375 at Lions +300
Total Points: Over 52.5 (-110) / Under 52.5 (-110)
The Bills have looked less electric over the last month than they did in the season’s first month. That is to be expected, but with their big game last week against a good Browns defense, the Bills may be climbing toward their peak in time for playoffs in a few weeks.
The Lions have won three in a row, though, and regardless of who they play, the Lions always protect home field on Thanksgiving Day as one of the NFL’s yearly hosts and play their opponent tough.
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys — 4:30 p.m. ET, TV: FOX
Point Spread: Cowboys -8
Moneyline: Giants +285 at Cowboys-365
Total Points: Over 42.5 (-110) / Under 42.5 (-110)
The Giants are starting to come down to earth. The coaching staff in New York has done a great job hiding QB Daniel Jones’s deficiencies, but defenses around the NFL are starting to exploit them. That is a frightening thought, considering the Cowboys’ defensive line is downright scary. Not only that, the Cowboys’ offense is starting to look explosive. Simply put, this will be a tough match for the Giants.
New England Patriots at Minnesota Vikings — 8:20 p.m. ET, TV: NBC
Spread: Vikings -3
Moneyline: Patriots +140 at Vikings -165
Total Points: Over 42.5 (-110) / Under 42.5 (-110)
The Vikings have looked great almost all year but last week’s loss to the Cowboys was embarrassing. Can QB Kirk Cousins and company fight back this week against another good defense hosting the Patriots? The good news for Vikings fans is New England has had plenty of offensive struggles of its own.
