The Rocky Top Insider Press Pass podcast is back for another instant reaction episode as hosts Ryan Schumpert and Ric Butler are breaking down their thoughts on the Tennessee-South Carolina game on Saturday night in Columbia.
The guys start out the podcast with their immediate reactions to the game, talking about everything that went wrong for the Volunteers and why Tennessee wasn’t able to come back throughout the game. The guys also break down South Carolina and quarterback Spencer Rattler and his terrific night leading the Gamecocks’ passing attack.
The big news of the night, aside from the loss itself, was the injury to Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker. The second-year Tennessee QB went down with a non-contact lower-body injury during the fourth quarter and did not return to the game.
The podcast ends with a conversation regarding Tennessee’s (assuredly fleeting) chances in College Football Playoff talks.
