Linebacker Jeremy Banks, cornerback De’Shawn Rucker and quarterback Tayven Jackson are inactive for Tennessee Saturday night at South Carolina.
Star receiver Cedric Tillman and cornerback Kamal Hadden are going through pregame warmups with their teammates and have not been ruled out. We will learn their official status as the game gets going.
Banks is one of Tennessee’s starting lineups and is missing his first game of the season. A strong run stopper and sure tackler, Banks is third on the team with 46 tackles this season. With Banks sidelined, Juwan Mitchell and Aaron Beasley will start and Solon Page III will see a bigger role.

Rucker is a third string cornerback on Tennessee’s depth chart behind Kamal Hadden and Brandon Turniage. Hadden is questionable for Tennessee after continuously battling injuries the last month of the season.
With Hadden and Christian Charles often sidelined in recent weeks, Turniage and Doneiko Slaughter have started at corner for Tennessee. Rucker has played only sparingly this season, seeing action in seven games where he’s totaled eight tackles.
Tayven Jackson is out for the fourth straight game after suffering an injury against UT Martin. Jackson is Tennessee’s third string quarterback making Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton III the only Vol quarterbacks dressed out.
Kick off at Williams-Brice Stadium is at 7 p.m. ET. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe are on the call for ESPN.
